Puffco Peak Pro Flashing Red and White? 5 Fixes
If your Puffco peak pro E-Rig or other puffco vaporizer is blinking red and white, it typically indicates a chamber connection error with the device.
This means that the device isn't properly detecting or communicating with the atomizer chamber.
Having a Puffco peak pro that doesn't work can be frustrating, but luckily this problem can usually be fixed.
In this article, I will show you how to fix Puffco peak pro blinking red and white. Then you can get your device back up and running.
Here's how to troubleshoot and potentially fix this issue:
Fix 1: Clean the Chamber and Connections
Double check it's clean around the gold pins and connections, as the fault may be caused by a blockage in the connection.
Remove the chamber from the base. Submerge the chamber in 90%+ isopropyl alcohol (IPA) for 20 minutes.
Use a cotton swab dipped in IPA to clean the connection pin on the base where the chamber connects, as well as the base of the chamber itself.
Ensure the chamber and connections are completely air-dried before reattaching the chamber.
Make sure that the connections points for the atomizer and where the atomizer goes into the base are completely clean of anything that would prevent it from it connecting.
Also make sure the base is turned off when installing/removing the atomizer to just make sure everything's all good.
Fix 2: Check the Atomizer Chamber Attachment
Make sure the heating chamber is properly attached to the base.
Try removing and reattaching the chamber to ensure a secure connection.
Sometimes you have to tighten the atomizer a little more or a little less and this will resolve mines done.
Sometimes the pins are just pushed in too far and aren’t making contact with the base. This can happen if you over tighten the chamber too.
In this case, You can take your metal dab tool and pry the pins out a wee bit not much at all just a wiggle it should work no problem.
Fix 3: Check Firmware Update
If you're using a Peak Pro with a 3DXL chamber, make sure your device's firmware is up to date. This will ensure your device to function with your new 3DXL chamber.
You can update the device by connecting your Peak Pro to thePuffco Connect app. Once connected, use the menu in the top left corner to find the device settings.
The third row down should show your current firmware version, as well as a red dot to indicateif an update is needed.
Fix 4: Reset the Device
For the Peak Pro, you can try a hard reset by holding the button down for 20 seconds consecutively.
Alternatively, some users suggest holding the button down for around 20-30 seconds, which has worked for them. This will clear minor firmware malfunctions.
Fix 5: Consider Atomizer Issues
Inspect the atomizer for damage or buildup.
If cleaning the atomizer doesn't resolve the issue, you may need to replace it.
